mixed emotions
Today I'm feeling torn, Sadie has been upstairs in bed for the last 4 nights from 7pm. Normally she is down with us, however at 7 months I know she needs to be getting a routine (gasp). We are also trying to wean her off night feeds, at present she feeds every 3 hrs day and night, so i'm totally exhausted. I need her to start droppign some night time feeding, so I have moved her into her sidecar cot (which in truth is essentially an extension of our bed) - but I really miss her......She is doign really well and feeding more during day as she should be. I know it'll help my general mood to get more sleep, I won't be gagging to get back to bed on weekends and we might actually get to do stuff.
It's another step from her no longer being my wee baby, another step towards independence, which of course I definitley want her to be - but sad nevertheless - especially with Pugs trip to Brechin looming.
It is lovely to have our evenings back though, I even got to do some knitting and watched TV!
I'm reading the Sue Plamer book 'toxic childhood' and finding it very interesting, it is really affecting my parenting in a positive way.
I'm hoping to read 'They were Still born' soon on Jeanette's recommendation and 'Raising our children raising ourselves'. If anyone has read either let me know what you think???
day 6 sunday best
Well a sunday is always a day for a frock, so we've gone all Cath Kidston(asda actually)a pressie from Sadie's lovely Auntie Monica. The cardi - Grandma as usual, the patterns from a vintage knits book, I love the old school look. The wool is not our normal v girlie for us - however it is wool, alpaca and silk so canny complain and knitted up its beautiful.
Today Miss P found her tongue, cheeky wee besom - she has spent whole day sticking it out at me, not that I encourage it at all LOL!!

day 5 it's an outerwear day
This is my favouirite hat, grandma made it - can you see a wee pattern here!!! I made it for a friend in patterned wool and wanted a hat to match this wee bag Sadie is wearing, so lovely mum made it for us. The bag was Archie's, a present from our lovely friend Christina.
No guest apperance I'm afraid, double booked witha nasty snotty nose......another time x

4th day we ventured out.
I love my dress so much I eat it.
Today Sadie is wearing a wee dress and bootees made by grandma - it's one of mums faves. She is alos wearing a wee pair of cashmere leggings which were her beautiful cousin Peggy's. I love this ourfit as it is so cosy for the winter, it's knitted in microfibre so feels really soft. Tomorow we are hopign to have a special guest appearance!!!!
Giving my mum attitude LOL

tough one, it's a ben and jerry's night
Today was hard, Archie is going through some weird phase - he is tired a lot and it's making him cranky. He's quite hard work as it is, and Miss P isn't sleeping more than 3 hrs in a row (since she was born 7 months ago).
it's one of the times where I would turn to my sands mums for support - only they can understand that having lost a child one still becomes exhausted being a parent - of course I wouldn't change it for the world, however as a 'lost' parent am I not meant to appreciate every minute????? Bollox I'm only human, I have the right to feel as all parents feel, surely I'm not to be robbed of that too???
However, as all parents feel guilt is ours worse? who will ever know.
Tuesday club my solace, was hellish today because Archie was soooo tired, he is such a handful I couldn't blether to the girls and I worry that he'll never 'behave'.
Just have to enjoy the B&J's, relax and start again tomorrow.
He is the most adorable, loving wee man - just a tad hyper when in company LOL x
